HDH DV SURVIVORS ACADEMY
DV Survivors Academy: CHW-Led Peer Support & Health Navigation Program
His Daughters House’s DV Survivors Academy is a 10-month, trauma-informed wellness and empowerment program for survivors of domestic violence in Riverside County. This innovative, community-based initiative is facilitated by trained Community Health Workers (CHWs), many of whom are survivors themselves, and integrates health navigation, education, and peer support into a structured group setting.

Why This Program Matters
Every minute, nearly 20 people experience physical abuse by an intimate partner—amounting to more than 10 million survivors annually. Domestic violence remains the leading cause of injury for women ages 15-44. These statistics are staggering, and the need for comprehensive survivor support has never been greater.

At His Daughters House, we are deeply committed to uplifting survivors by providing the necessary tools, education, and network of support to help them reclaim their lives. We have carefully recruited participants who will benefit most from this life-changing opportunity.

Program start date: Friday, March 28, 2025
Program length: 10 months (biweekly sessions from March 28, 2025 – January 31, 2026)
Culmination event: February 6-7, 2026
As space is limited, we encourage you to submit your referrals as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to supporting survivors.
